Valentine’s Day

Eating chocolate on Valentine’s Day is a necessity, it’s simply tradition. No one has heard of the 4th of July without fireworks or Halloween without costumes, so why should this holiday be any different? While not everyone enjoys chocolate, there are plenty of other sugary foods to substitute this amazing dessert on this sweet holiday.

Candy: chocolate may not be for everyone, but with all of the other types of candy out there, there is no way that someone does not like at least one type. Sour, sweet, chewy, hard – grab your friends and share a bag/box… or two.

Cake: whether molten lava, red velvet, strawberry, or vanilla – it’s all delicious. With so many variations of this delicacy, there is a reason it can go with any occasion.

Ice cream: I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! A childhood staple that can be customized in thousands of ways. Oh, and it’s also one of the best ways to turn that frown upside down 😊

Cookies: this dessert is as fun to make as it is to eat! Whether you want to go with the classic chocolate chip, or get extra festive with heart-shaped sugar cookies – they’re all delicious. Only question left is… how many do you want?

Anything you want: while I advocate for the various heart shaped treats, if eating a salad will make your day perfect – go for it! Pasta, steak, pie, or sushi, as long as you remember to “Treat yo’ self”, it’ll be a good day!
